About Dr. Mark Odell
Mark Odell, PhD, has a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC, MT #1164) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, MT #2), a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT; www.aamft.org), and has been a practicing counselor since 1988. From 1994 to 2004, he was a university professor in two major universities’ MFT training programs, preparing graduate students in marriage and family therapy and undergraduates in family and human sciences. He has taught numerous accredited courses, given dozens of workshops and seminars and presentations to professionals and lay people alike, published in several professional capacities from articles to books, and worked with a very wide range of clients. Over the years, he has had many opportunities to work with people who are leaders and influencers, and that experience has given him particular insight and understanding into people occupying those types of roles. He is particularly well-suited to work with them.
GlacierHaven is not his idea. It’s God’s idea. He was a tenured, senior faculty member at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, when God changed his calling from the university world to this still-developing adventure. It’s been quite a ride. Dr. Odell is a committed Christian with 31 years of walking in faith, by the grace of God.
He has been married for nearly 25 years to Kelye and they have three children, Spenser, Shelby, and Abbey. Also, quite a ride!
